RENALDO S. TURNER, SR.

Apostle  


Apostle  Renaldo S. Turner is the Senior Apostle and founder of New Destiny Church International (NDCI). Apostle Turner is a leader with a vision to change people’s lives; God has gifted him with wisdom, knowledge and understanding to preach His word with simplicity and understanding.  As a result of the leading of God, Apostle Turner ended a 20-year military career in the United States Army to Pastor a church that would be relevant in the times that we are in and to have a rock message but a moving method to ministry in the great city of Columbia, SC.  


Apostle Turner was called to ministry in 1997, licensed in 1998, ordained as an Elder in January 2000, and Affirmed as an Apostle by Samuel Generation in May 2017. 


 Apostle Turner is also the Chairman of the Board for the New Destiny Church International Community Development Corporation; his vision is to provide economic empowerment to the city of Columbia. In 2006 Apostle Turner was recommended and received an honorary Doctorate degree of Divinity from Saint Thomas Christian College. Apostle Turner graduated from Webster University’s Graduate program in 2015.  


He is married to the former Tricia Stoner who serves as Co-Pastor in the Ministry. They have three children Renaldo Jr., LaPorsha, and Mercedes, and are the proud grandparents of seven grandsons and one granddaughter.  


His first book Fatherless was released in June of 2009.

TRICIA TURNER

Senior Pastor  


Tricia Turner or Lady “T” as she is so affectionately known, serves as the Senior Pastor and Elect lady of NDCI.  


Lady “T” has the oversight of the Women Of Destiny women’s ministry. Lady “T” has a passion to see women empowered to operate in the fullness of the word of God and to be all that God has ordained for them to be.  Tricia Turner was ordained as Pastor in January 2009.

CHRIS SMITH

Executive Pastor  


Pastor Christopher Smith serves as the one of the oversight Pastors for New Destiny Church International (NDCI). Christopher has served as an Armor Bearer, Minister, Elder and Youth Pastor during his tenure at NDCI. He provides mentorship, guidance and coaching to the partners of NDCI.


He became a partner of then Changing Lives Christian Center in 2004. He was ordained an Elder in 2007. He served as the Youth Pastor for over 14 years. He was installed as an interim Pastor on June 24, 2018, under the leadership of Apostle Renaldo S. Turner Sr.       


Pastor Smith holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with a concentration in Communications from University of Phoenix. Christopher is retired Army and served over 20 years of military service in the United States Army.         


Pastor Smith is from Baltimore, Maryland and has been married for 25 years to Pastor Stephanie D. Smith, the other oversite Pastor. He has six sons, and 9 grandchildren.   

STEPHANIE SMITH

Executive Pastor  


Pastor Stephanie Smith serves as the one of the oversight Pastors for New Destiny Church International (NDCI). She provides mentorship, guidance and coaching to the partners of NDCI. Stephanie is retired Army and served over 20 years of military service in the United States Army.

Stephanie has served as an Armor Bearer, Youth Pastor, and Chief Ministry Officer during her tenure at NDCI.       


Pastor Smith is from Baltimore, Maryland and has been married for 25 years to Pastor Christopher N. Smith, the other oversite Pastor. She has two sons, and two grandchildren.    

KETTRELE COOPER

Youth Pastor  


Kettrele Cooper Jr. (also known as Pastor K.C) was born on January 3, 1992 in Columbia, SC to Stephanie and Kettrele Cooper Sr. Columbia is where he spent most of his life. Kettrele graduated from Blythewood high school in 2010. 


Kettrele met and married LaPorsha Turner In 2016. Together they have 4 children, Karson 8, Karter 6, Kayson 4, and Kinsleigh 2. Kettrele relocated his family to Raleigh, NC in 2017 and when moving back to Columbia, SC in 2018, accepted the Role by Apostle Turner to be over the youth ministry along with his wife. 


In 2020, He was ordained a Pastor alongside his wife LaPorsha. Kettrele uses his past to motivate youth on finding the right direction to go in life. His passion is to see youth be better than they were yesterday. 

LAPORSHA COOPER

Youth Pastor  


LaPorsha was born on May 4, 1989, to Renaldo and Tricia Turner in Bardstown, KY. Due to her father being in the US Army, her family moved several times over her childhood to include Germany on two occasions, as well as Georgia, and finally Columbia, SC in 1998. 


Her Father started a ministry and she was active in ministry since the age of 9 years old. She graduated from Ridge View High School in 2007. After High School LaPorsha found herself living a life that was outside of the will of God, but in 2015 she recommitted her life to God. She then met her husband, Kettrele Cooper Jr, in 2016 at New Destiny Church International, they were married in Nov 2016.


In 2017, LaPorsha and Kettrele welcomed their first son together, Kayson, and also relocated to Raleigh, NC. In 2018 they moved back to Columbia, SC and LaPorsha and Kettrele (KC) accepted the role as leaders over the Youth Department in New Destiny Church International. In 2019 they welcomed their daughter Kinsleigh; Together they have 4 children, Karson 8, Karter 6, Kayson 4, and Kinsleigh 2. 


In 2020 LaPorsha was ordained a Pastor, alongside her Husband. LaPorsha’s passion is to see people experience God for themselves and see their lives changed by accepting God into their lives. She believes “Your past may have been empty nothings, BUT with God your tomorrow is EVERYTHING”.
